Privacy & cookies

Last updated November 2, 2026

RankList (ranklist.info) publishes buyer's guides that rank products sold by Amazon and other retailers. You don't need an account to use the site, and we never ask for your name, email address or payment details.

What we collect

When you open a page, our hosting provider, Google Firebase Hosting, processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, so it can deliver the page and protect the site. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address.

When you click a retailer link, our own server records the click: the page and product, the time, the ad that brought you to the site (from the link address), your IP address and browser details, and the Meta cookies described below. We use it to measure which ads and products work.

Cookies and the Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and to help show our ads to people likely to find them useful. The pixel may set or read cookies such as _fbp and _fbc, and it sends Meta events such as page views and clicks on a retailer link, together with the page address and your browser's details. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy.

Some of our ads open a short redirect page (ranklist.info/wm/) that takes you to Walmart search results. That page sets the same Meta cookies, records the click, and later tells Meta through its Conversions API whether the click led to a purchase, so we can measure the ad.

Retailer and affiliate links

Our Check Price buttons go through affiliate networks (Levanta and PartnerBoost) to the retailer, such as Amazon. When you click, those companies may set their own cookies so the retailer can credit us if you buy something. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. As an Amazon Associate and a Levanta and PartnerBoost creator we earn from qualifying purchases.

Your privacy choices

We don't sell your personal information for money. Sharing data with Meta for advertising can count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some US state privacy laws, and you can turn it off here:

Turn on JavaScript to use the opt-out button, or block cookies in your browser settings.

  • We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, our guide pages don't load the Meta Pixel or our analytics.
  • The button applies to our guide pages in this browser (not the Walmart redirect page described above). Clearing your cookies resets it.
  • Control the ads Meta shows you in your Meta ad preferences.
  • Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU and UK).
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Children

Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
